Ticket Purchase Terms
Last updated: 22 November 2025
Important: When you buy tickets through Alpaca Tickets, your contract is with the Event Organiser, not with Alpaca Tickets. We act as an agent on behalf of the Event Organiser to facilitate your purchase.
1. Who We Are
Alpaca Tickets is a ticketing platform operated by Jak Spalding trading as Alpaca Tickets. We provide technology that allows Event Organisers to sell tickets to their events.
Our role: We act as an agent for Event Organisers. We are not the seller of tickets and are not responsible for the events themselves.

2. Your Contract
When you purchase tickets:
- Your contract for the event and tickets is with the Event Organiser
- Alpaca Tickets facilitates the transaction as the Event Organiser's agent
- The Event Organiser is responsible for the event, including any changes, cancellations, or refunds
By completing your purchase, you agree to these terms and any additional terms set by the Event Organiser.

- The total amount charged will be displayed on the checkout page
Payment
- Payment is processed securely by our payment provider
- We accept major debit and credit cards
- Your payment card details are handled entirely by our payment provider – we never see your full card number
4. Your Tickets

- This email contains your ticket details and should be presented at the event for entry
- If you do not receive a confirmation email, check your spam folder or contact us
Entry to Events
- Present your order confirmation (printed or on your phone) at the event
- The Event Organiser may require ID or additional verification
- Entry requirements and event rules are set by the Event Organiser
5. Refunds and Cancellations
Event Organiser's Responsibility
Refund policies are set by each Event Organiser. The Event Organiser is responsible for:
- Their refund policy (which should be communicated before purchase)
- Refunds if the event is cancelled
- Refunds if the event is significantly changed
- Any other refunds at their discretion
To request a refund, contact the Event Organiser directly.
Booking Fees
Platform booking fees are non-refundable once a transaction is completed, as our service has been provided. Booking fees are not typically refunded, even if the Event Organiser issues a refund for the ticket price.
Your Consumer Rights
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you do not have a right to cancel ticket purchases for events on a specific date, as these are exempt from the 14-day cooling-off period.
However, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain unaffected. If an event is cancelled or significantly altered, you may be entitled to a refund from the Event Organiser.
6. Event Changes and Cancellations
The Event Organiser is responsible for communicating any changes to their events. This may include:
- Date or time changes
- Venue changes
- Line-up or content changes
- Event cancellation
If an event is cancelled or significantly changed, contact the Event Organiser regarding refunds or alternative arrangements.
7. Our Liability
What We Are Responsible For
- Providing a functioning ticketing platform
- Processing your payment securely
- Sending your order confirmation
- Passing your ticket purchase to the Event Organiser
What We Are Not Responsible For
- The event itself (quality, safety, content)
- Event cancellations or changes made by the Event Organiser
- Refunds (this is the Event Organiser's responsibility)
- Entry to the event (managed by the Event Organiser)
- Actions or omissions of the Event Organiser
- Any loss or damage arising from attending (or not attending) an event
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the booking fees you have paid for the specific transaction in question. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
